Chopper Shipmates on Eternal Patrol"
"I have one consolation that lives with me today.
That God is near to him, in his own special way.
So God in all Your mercy, keep near Thyself the soul,
Of this beloved Submariner, on now his last patrol.

Lord, this departed shipmate with dolphins on his chest
served the US Silent Service, known as the very best.
Make him welcome, Lord, and take him by the hand.
He was you know, without a doubt, the best in all the land.

Heavenly Father, add his name to the glorious silent scroll
of our departed Submariner shipmates now on eternal patrol.
Let him know that his tales are told by his shipmates who survive
We'll remember him and not forget to keep his memories alive."

Sunset and evening star, and one clear call for me!

And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep, Too full for sound and foam,

When that which drew from out the boundless deep Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell, And after that the dark!

And may there be no sadness of farewell, When I embark

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place, the flood may bear me far,

I hope to see my Pilot face to face, When I have crost the bar.

Crossing the Bar, by ALFRED LORD TENNYSON (1809-1883)
